AVAILABLE NOW: Vox Machina Origins Volume 1 Trade Paperback and Standard Edition Hardcover

In September 2017, we embarked on a pretty unbelievable adventure to share the origin story of our favorite heroes from Tal’Dorei through a series of digital comic books, created with our good friends at Dark Horse Comics. Vox Machina Origins is now on its second series, however the frequently requested trade paperback for our first series is now available for purchase at your favorite local comic book shop and through online retailers. And, that’s not all: we’re also re-issuing the standard version hardcover in the Critical Role online shops!
Vox Machina Origins Volume 1 was written by Matthew Mercer and Matthew Colville and features art by Critter Olivia Samson, coloring and lettering by Chris Northrop, and was designed by Cindy Cacerez-Sprague.
Both books contain a collected version of the first six issues of Vox Machina Origins and a few special extras like NPC character sheets, a peek inside the sketchbook, and full character art.
And, if you prefer to read comics on your laptop, tablet, or phone, all of our comic books are available digitally via Dark Horse Digital and comiXology.

For the Critters who missed out, we’re also bringing back our hardcover edition of Volume 1! The hardcover edition includes issues 1 through 6 of our very first Vox Machina Origins series and is available right now exclusively in our US store ($44.99 USD) and our UK store. (£44.99 GBP).
VOLUME 2 TRADE PAPERBACK IS COMING IN MAY 2020!
Vox Machina Origins Series 2 is well underway, and we’re excited to share additional details about our next collected edition: a trade paperback containing issues 1 through 6 of our second series of Vox Machina Origins, featuring the talents of writer Jody Houser, illustrator Olivia Samson, colorist MSASSYK, letterer Ariana Maher, and an all-star lineup of cover artists. Following the triumphant conclusion of this Grog-tastic story arc in January, Vox Machina Origins Volume 2 will be available in May 2020.
